The article refers to Stallard as being WC in 1934, from what I can find he finished 7th that year. 7th for a Brit in the RR WC’s may as well be the win Although things are changing… we hope.

nope, no world championship for stallard. he has a siginifcant place in the history of british cycling, but not for that.
