It is difficult for me to ask for help, but I really need it!
The Vanilla bicycles – Stumptown coffee cyclocross team is a very small, very independent, Portland Oregon based elite cyclocross team.
We do not get financial support for our racing season unlike the other professional teams we compete against. Let me tell you, racing a full cyclocross season and flying out of state 2-3 times a month is very, very expensive.
I’ve progressed steadily over the last couple (my first 2 years!) Elite cross seasons and want to improve upon the results and experience I’ve gained traveling domestically and racing in Europe last winter.
(owning a small bike shop does not mean I have $, it means I am broke all the time!)
Because we do not have large business or big money sponsorships, I am fund raising to offset my expenses to the US Grand Prix of Cyclocross series, the US Cyclocross National Championships in December and 2 months spent living, training and racing in Europe with the best cyclocross talent in the world.
I am sacrificing a lot and training hard to petition for selection to the US World Cup and 2008 Cyclocross World championship (Treviso, Italy 2008!) teams and am well prepared to dominate the 2007 30-35 US National Cyclocross Championship (4th place last year).
If you can help out, I heart you. I’ve got some items for sale that will help me pay for my race, travel and, living expenses this fall and winter.
I’ll be offering some exciting/hilarious stuff once the season gets underway. Think of it as joining the un-official-official Molly Cameron supporter’s club.
You know you want to drink your coffee while I glare at you from inside my pain cave.
Thanks for the support coffee mugs.
$20 including shipping in the US.

My pal Joachim Parbo donated some signed race cards. These 4×5.75 postcards inch are the same cards euro pro cx racers hand out at their fan booths! He has been Danish national cx champ 2 years in a row and will be racing an extended US campaign this fall. $5 gets one in the mail to you!
