Update from Pete in Spain parte dos:

My ladyfriend is working as a soigner for the USAcycling women’s road team for a few weeks in Spain and Italy:

“The team got a top ten today! It was pissing down rain (which I got to stand in and wait in the feed zone!) today and the finish was in the cutest, most beautiful spanish town ever. The street were super narrow and there were all of these dreamy looking stone houses with flower boxes hanging out the windows. It looked like a storybook race finish. After the race, a group of 30 kids stormed the team and were asking for their water bottles…apparently little kids collect them? Anyway, at first I was being nice to the kids and then they started getting super annoying and I started yelling at them and they scattered only to come back 30 seconds later. People also have xeroxed pics of all the riders and ask for their autographs all the time. Weird.

You should drill it and make the cross worlds team. Everybody here complains about Belgium and the Belgians…they say it smells bad. Whatever.

Our table is right next to DSB Bank. Marianne Vos is very small. Her jersey is too big for her.”

Amazing.
